PLEASE
NOTE: This method
is designed for free
accounts
Unzip
the Tv Guide zip
file onto your
hard drive keeping
the files in there
original directories.
Edit
the two files
called common.asp
with a text editor
like notepad.
One common.asp
file is with the
main files and
the other should
be in a directory
called admin.
In
both these
files you
should find
the following
line: -
'strDbPathAndName
= "/USERNAME/db/Tv_Guide.mdb"
Remove
the single
quote mark
' shown in
red above
from the beginning
of this line.
Place
your Brinkster
username in
the place,
USERNAME,
marked above
in red.
Save
the amended
files.
Upload
the database called
Tv_Guide.mdb found
in the admin directory
of the Tv Guide
to the directory
called, db,
on your Brinkster
web space.
Create
a new folder on
your Brinkster
web space called
TvGuide.
Create
the following
directories in
the TV Guide directory
you have just
created.
admin
images
-Upload
-English
-German
Languages
ScriptLibrary
NOTE
: In
the admin folder
add a folder called
Pictures
Now
upload all the
Breathofair Tv
Guide files and
images to ther
e respective folders
you have created
on your Brinkster
web space.
Once
all the files
are uploaded point
your web browser
to the location
on your Brinkster
web space where
you uploaded the
Tv Guide to.
If
you have any problems
trying to run
the Tv Guide check
that you have
carried out all
the above steps
and edited both
common.asp files
correctly.
If
the Tv Guide still
isn't running
try signing up
to Brinkster again
as it is not unheard
of for Brinkster
accounts to not
be set up correctly.
